He understood me as an athlete and what my body needed on an individual level to be able to maintain peak performance. Rhuss has overseen our football program in 2017 in what was a very successful season. Rhuss' positive attitude meant he developed good relationships with the players and from there developed a structured and beneficial program based on individual needs. Our running program and approach to to physical preparation to play a demanding game improved. Rhuss structured each session and ensured progression for each athlete was a focus. He also managed strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes who needed support in this area.

He has managed to strip my technique pretty much back to scratch and rebuild it correctly! In the short amount of time training together I have reached my short term goal of 80kg clean. I am now beginning to move that weight alot faster and easier, moving towards my long term goal of 100kg clean. I am also progressing every day in all my exercises and movement that corresponds with my sprinting.

Injury Rehabilitation

In my role as a physiotherapist I often encounter patients who require some higher level conditioning or exercise supervision in their rehabilitation program. I am always happy to recommend Rhuss to these patients as someone who is up to date with recent research while also applying the key fundamentals of S&C.

Rhuss has been a major influence in the recovery of a major knee injury and I wouldn't have any strength back in that knee if it weren't for him. Rhuss is a warm, energetic and extremely knowledgable coach who really tries to help you understand outside of the basic fundamentals of an exercise. He listens to what your goals are and he works to benefit you achieving them. He is able to read what exercise work well for your body and he navigates his knowledge inline with your personal requests into a program best suited to achieve what you want. All that knowledge plus a super friendly trainer equals results and a good time.

I had previously had a lot of hamstring issues, since going through a rehab and strengthening program with Rhuss, those issues have never returned.

His wealth of knowledge and experience is second to none, his soul focus is too make everyone around him better. In 2017 season I felt fitter and stronger than ever from the program Rhuss put together. He's a very Inspiring and energetic teacher, after working with Rhuss closely, I now feel a lot more confident with my fitness and strength capabilities and more importantly Rhuss made things enjoyable.

Rhuss is very passionate and knowledgable about health, fitness, recovery and wellbeing. He's motivation helped immensely in achieving my fitness goals. Rhuss was able to take my aerobic capacity to the next level by providing a training program that catered to the sport I was playing. This training was instrumental in preventing soft tissue injuries!

  • Rhuss has had a profound impact on my own training and also that of the football team I play for (Aberfeldie). He has modified training to prevent things becoming monotonous and he is a very positive coach with a wonderful approach! He keeps everything simple and depending on whether you are in season or preseason, he modifies trainings accordingly. He has been able to adapt sessions for those at different levels of fitness too. I have loved completing his sessions, specifically on Saturday mornings the most which for me focused on shorter and sharper but at higher intensity sessions.

    He doesn't just run you through good programs and specifically know what he is doing in his chosen field - he genuinely cares about every individual he works with. This is something critical, to trust those you work so closely with and Rhuss has that in spades. He masters his own craft and has a great balance between having some fun and getting each and every job done.
